The Sabah Society
The Sabah Society is a non-government / non-profit organisation founded in 1960 by a group of enthusiasts who were eager to record and preserve interesting and important aspects of the history, culture and natural history of Sabah which might be lost in the increasing surge forward towards modernization. Among the notable achievements of The Sabah Society and its members are the establishment of the Sabah Museum and the Sabah Parks.

沙巴荒野保護協會 SOW Sabah
Society of Wilderness Sabah (SOW Sabah) is a non-profit organisation in Kota Kinabalu that wishes to promote awareness of nature conservation, provide opportunities and environment needed for nature education to the general public. We hope to train people for conservation activities and encourage them to be nature observer while raising funds for protection of wild land.

Green Semporna
Green Semporna, also known as Kelab Pencinta Alam Semporna is a registered youth club which consist of more than 200 volunteers. The volunteers are mostly local youth of Semporna that concerned on environmental issue and give a full commitment in conducting and joining the environmental programme in Semporna. Green Semporna also involves in empowering the local community especially youth in managing the marine resources sustainably. In addition to it, Green Semporna also to make Semporna and its society to practice a green and ecofriendly lifestyle. A Raleigh expedition is a challenging programme that empowers diverse groups of young people to contribute to sustainable development projects. Use your energy and creativity to inspire positive change on a Raleigh International expedition. You can volunteer for 5, 7 or 10 weeks in Borneo. 

All you need is an open mind, commitment and a desire to change your world for the better.

Good Shepherd Services (GSS) 
Good Shepherd Services (GSS) is a not-for-profit organisation registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia. The focus of GSS is to reach out and welcome each person with respect and dignity, accompanying each one with care and compassion.

GSS has extensive grassroots services in Malaysia, both residential and outreach, reaching out to women/girls in pregnancy and other forms of crisis, women and their children experiencing domestic violence, children and youth who have limited access to educational opportunities.  The outreach programmes focus on empowering disadvantaged communities who have minimal access to human development, social awareness and leadership programs.

GSS has been in Sabah since 1988 and operates Pusat Jagaan Seri Murni, Asrama Desa Pukak, Asrama Komuniti Tulid, YouthPREP Center Alamesra and a number of rural community development projects which include Socio-Economic Development project in Kg Kiau Nuluh and a project on the safety and protection of the girl-child in Tambunan.
