In-festival series of public talks on filmmaking and environmental issues at Suara Publika

SUARA PUBLIKA is an in-festival series of public talks on filmmaking and environmental issues. This year, SUARA PUBLIKA took place on 29 September with the filmmaking talks by Harun Rahman and Zan Azlee Zainal Abidin, and environmental talks by Borneo Rhino Alliance (BORA), HUTAN-Kinabatangan Orangutan Conservation Programme (KOCP) and MESCOT. A special series of Sensing Borneo talks was additionally presented to explore Borneo through the senses of sight, sound, touch, taste and smell.

SUARA PUBLIKA was attended by about 90 people, including representatives of government agencies (Sabah Parks, Sabah State Library), professional and amateur filmmakers from Sabah and Brunei, civil society groups, students and tourists. YB. Datuk Masidi Manjun, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah, visited the afternoon sessions to observe the activities and chat to participants and speakers.

 

SUARA PUBLIKA is open to the public and admission is free.
